Welcome to High Country Trail NZ

High Country Trail NZ is owned and managed by Robbie and Connie Crickett. Robbie is a former NZ ATV champion whose love of motorcycling has combined with his enthusiasm and passion for the South Island. The result is expertly organised guiding of both trail and adventure tours.

We offer a wide variety of trail and adventure rides from our Alexandra base. The trail tours suit fit and experienced riders on road legal trail or enduro bikes such as the Yamaha WR range. The adventure tours are easier and suit any dual sport gravel road capable bikes with or without pillion passengers. We use and recomend Yamaha XTZ Teneres and XT660R.

We also arrange one off tours throughout the South Island and New Zealand to suit varying requirements. Please call.

High Country Trail has unique access consents in place with the Department of Conservation to use trails on DoC managed lands and this access coupled with District Council consents and permissions from private land managers and farmers means we can offer riders the adventure of a lifetime through a scenic wonderland with many options.

We have a fleet of Yamaha bikes. These reliable and fun machines help you enjoy our rides. They have been tested (and passed!) in a range of conditions including the extremes of the South Island, the vast sandy outback of Australia (XT660) and even the emptiness of the Nevada and Utah deserts.
